Tour Plan

9:00 AM – Hotel Pickup

Your full-day Bangalore adventure begins with a prompt pickup from your hotel by a professional driver and a licensed local guide. You'll be traveling in a private, air-conditioned vehicle, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey throughout the day. As you set off, your guide will provide an overview of the day's itinerary and begin sharing stories, historical context, and interesting local facts that will enhance your understanding of each site. This isn't just a ride—it's your introduction to Bangalore through a local lens.

Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace

Your first stop is the magnificent Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, a masterpiece of Indo-Islamic architecture located in Bangalore’s historic heart. Constructed in the late 1700s, the palace served as a summer retreat for Tipu Sultan, one of South India’s most powerful and visionary rulers, famously nicknamed the “Tiger of Mysore.” Step inside and marvel at the two-story structure made entirely of teakwood, featuring intricately carved pillars, flowing floral motifs, and expansive balconies. The interiors once adorned with paintings and royal emblems reflect Tipu’s taste and grandeur. Your guide will share stories of his battles, innovations, and diplomatic ties that shaped regional history. This palace is an essential stop for history lovers, architecture enthusiasts, and anyone curious about Bangalore's royal past.

KR Market (Krishna Rajendra Market)

Next, immerse yourself in the chaotic charm of KR Market, one of the oldest and busiest markets in India. This bustling bazaar is a feast for the senses, alive with color, scent, and activity. Walk through narrow lanes overflowing with fresh flowers, exotic spices, hand-woven baskets, vegetables, and local kitchenware. The flower market section, in particular, is a riot of color and fragrance—ideal for photographers and culture seekers looking for candid moments of local life. Your guide will help you understand how the market functions daily, its history, and its vital role in Bangalore's economy. For anyone curious about authentic Bangalore local life, this is an unmissable stop.

Lalbagh Botanical Garden

Trade the hustle for calm as you arrive at Lalbagh Botanical Garden, a lush 240-acre oasis in the heart of the city. Initially laid out by Hyder Ali in the 18th century and later expanded by Tipu Sultan, Lalbagh is home to over 1,000 species of exotic and native plants, centuries-old trees, lotus ponds, and beautifully maintained walking paths. The highlight of Lalbagh is the iconic glasshouse, inspired by London’s Crystal Palace, where the biannual flower show takes place (January and August). Your guide will walk you through the garden's botanical highlights, explaining the origins of various plant species and pointing out hidden gems like the Lalbagh Rock, believed to be over 3 billion years old. It’s a must-visit for nature lovers, botany enthusiasts, or anyone seeking peace and beauty in Bangalore.

Cubbon Park

After Lalbagh, continue your green journey with a visit to Cubbon Park, one of Bangalore’s most beloved public spaces. Spread over 300 acres, this central park is dotted with Gothic-style buildings, colonial-era statues, vibrant gardens, and long tree-lined avenues ideal for walking. Created in 1870 by British Commissioner Richard Sankey, Cubbon Park is more than just a park—it’s a cultural landmark. You’ll pass by notable buildings like the State Central Library and statues of prominent historical figures while your guide explains the park’s colonial origins and its role in modern Bangalore life. A favorite among joggers, families, artists, and even pet lovers, this park offers a calming contrast to the city’s buzz and is an ideal setting for relaxed sightseeing.

Karnataka High Court (Attara Kacheri)

Located adjacent to Cubbon Park is the striking red Karnataka High Court, also known as Attara Kacheri, meaning "Eighteen Offices" in Persian. Built in 1868, this neoclassical structure was designed by the British and has served as a central pillar in Bangalore’s judicial history. With its Corinthian columns and bold red facade, this building is not only an architectural landmark but also a symbol of Bangalore’s legal and colonial past. Your guide will provide insight into how the legal system evolved in this part of India and the role this building continues to play today. This stop is a must for architecture lovers, legal enthusiasts, and history buffs alike.

Lunch Break (At Your Own Expense)

Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant, where you can enjoy authentic South Indian food—dosas, thalis, biryani, and more. Your guide will recommend the best spots based on your preferences. It’s a great time to chat about local traditions and ask for travel tips or suggestions on what to do in Bangalore in a day.

Vidhana Soudha & Attara Kacheri (Post-Lunch)

Refreshed after lunch, head to two of Bangalore’s most important government landmarks. Start with Vidhana Soudha, the seat of Karnataka’s state legislature. This colossal granite building features Indo-Dravidian architecture, complete with grand staircases, domes, and intricately carved pillars. It's one of the largest legislative buildings in India and is often referred to as the “Taj Mahal of South India” in political circles due to its grandeur. Just across the road is Attara Kacheri, which you visited earlier, creating a unique juxtaposition of styles—British colonial vs. post-independence Indian architecture—both playing key roles in the city’s governance. This segment is perfect for visitors interested in political history, architecture, and urban development.

Bangalore Palace

End your day on a royal note at the Bangalore Palace, a stunning 19th-century structure inspired by England’s Windsor Castle. With its turreted towers, lavish wood carvings, stained glass windows, and opulent interiors, the palace offers a deep dive into the grandeur of the Wodeyar dynasty, who once ruled Mysore and had a strong influence over Bangalore. Walk through royal halls filled with elegant furniture, hunting trophies, intricate ceilings, and family portraits. The expansive grounds also host events and concerts today, keeping the palace a vibrant part of Bangalore’s cultural scene. Your guide will help decode the palace’s European design influences and regal lifestyle, making it a true highlight for architecture lovers, history fans, and anyone seeking a touch of royal elegance.

Very Flexible

This was a great tour. Manjurat was the driver and Kiran the guide. I got to see all of the major sites in Bangalore. They were flexible on how much time we spent at each location and what we did. All I had to do was ask. This is my third time to Bangalore, but first time I had the opportunity to do some sight seeing. I'm happy I was able to see more of the city..

Good city, bad tour

Good to explore around the city attraction but the guide could have provided more introductory sharing. Instead we rush to each spot, like 5mins in some of the spots, it feels like the guide just wants to finish the journey asap. The tour starts at 10ish and the guide leaves us at 3ish. What’s worse is they want to charge us for the airport drop while we are way ahead of schedule and it has never been agreed. And this is right after i gave them tips in the airport. The tour doesn’t give us a good impression at all. I am not sure if I will go with tour in this app moving forward..
